No Man’s Sky NEXT introduces improved base-building mechanics, where players can now build multiple bases anywhere they want. The update has also added the Blueprint Analyzer technology, which lets you research blueprints for new items that you can craft for your base. Here’s what you need to know about actually getting it in the game.



If you started a new game, all you have to do is follow the tutorial until you reach the base-building segment. After building a Base Computer, the game will then provide you with a blueprint for the Blueprint Analyzer itself, and you can craft it as a piece of portable technology. It can be placed on any planetary surface, and you can pick it up and put it in your inventory when you want to leave. The Analyzer is great for unlocking new base-building items, though you’ll need to spend resources called Salvaged Technology in order to learn new blueprints.
