October 30th 2018 will see the first part of a phased beta deployment running over 4 weeks for the final chapter to Elite Dangerous Beyond. The Part 1 release will deal with visual updates, the background simulation and Exploration no doubt featuring the enhanced discover scanner etc. We also get some cool shots of what we believe to be the Krait Phantom performing some mining using the Pulse Wave Scanner and detonating asteroids.
